PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and caustic soda, the most important exports in the chlor-alkali sector are both greatly affected by the new policy. The export rebate rate for PVC is reduced from 11% to 5% and the rate for caustic soda is reduced from 13% to 0%
PVC in China has undergone a remarkable reduction of import volumes and a rapid increase in output and export volumes.
