SARISKA, India, Aug. 17, 2007 (IPS/GIN) -- A flourishing illegal trade in tiger parts has led the giant cats to become increasingly scarce in India's tiger reserves, which these days mainly serve as a home for elephants, deer and other hoofed creatures.
The illegal trade, which is mainly based in China and East Asia, has led to indiscriminate poaching in India's specially designated national parks and sanctuaries.
