A FORMER Labour First Minister and a Tory peer are to sit on acommission which will examine the dismal standard of Scotlands home-grown TVprogrammes.

Henry McLeish and Lord Fraser of Carmyllie will be among the ten members of thebody, announced by Alex Salmond last week.

BBC Scotland has been heavily criticised for failing to provide enough qualitydramas and documentaries for the UK network.
