Aug. 11--Yuba City High catcher Max Stassi will lead USA Baseball's Youth National Team back to Venezuela for a chance at capturing another gold medal.

Stassi was named to the team's 18-man roster Friday night after the completion of a weeklong team trials in Cary, N.C., which featured 36 of the best players ages 16 and younger in the country.

Stassi is the lone returning member of the 2006 Youth National Team that went undefeated in nine games to win the gold medal at the COPABE Pan-American Championship in Barquisimento, Venezuela.
