Aug. 11--More than 2,000 years after the ancient Greeks identified the Seven Wonders of the World, millions of people around the world voted at www.new7wonders.com to update the list with seven new wonders. They were announced on July 7.

One of the new wonders, Petra, Jordan, is one of the world's most spectacular archaeological sites, with temples and tombs cut into towering cliffs of red, pink and orange sandstone.
