Aug. 6--Traffic on Interstate 94 near the Minnesota 280 detour was a standstill at times today, but some transportation officials said the morning commute was encouraging and that they are optimistic future rush hours won't be too chaotic.
"Overall, I'm pretty encouraged by this morning's commute," said Don Zenanko, a state transportation specialist who works in the metro area's Regional Transportation Management Center.
