Aug. 3--Tucson-based Sion Power Corp., which is developing new high-energy batteries, says it will move to a building near the airport, nearly doubling its space as part of an expanded research and development and pilot production plan.

Sion, currently at 9040 S. Rita Road in the University of Arizona Science and Technology Park, will relocate by January to a 67,000-square-foot building at 2900 E. Elvira Road, northeast of Tucson International Airport, said Mark Jost, Sion executive vice president for corporate development.
