Aug. 2--TRUMBULL -- The Trumbull American Legion baseball team couldn't have started the 2007 season any worse than it did.

Trumbull trailed Stamford 8-0 through six innings in the season-opener back in mid-June. Worse, the team was suffering through a no-hitter.

At the time, Post 141 coach Jim Chaves couldn't believe it. It certainly wasn't how he envisioned his debut as the team's new coach.

Miraculously, Trumbull, led by a five-RBI performance by Darren Klein, rallied to win the game 9-8 and convinced Chaves his team would be all ...
