AfriForum's rush to release a media statement following a meeting with the Minister of Arts and Culture, Dr Pallo Jordan, is nothing but a blatant publicity-seeking gimmick.
They have no mandate to speak on behalf of the minister. Instead, what they have done is to twist facts in a manner that projects their encounter as a victory of some sort to preserve the name of Pretoria and executive mayor Dr Gwen Ramakgopa to meet them.
