DAVID, the wild baboon which was captured on Tuesday night after he had gone walk-about in Grassy Park, may get his chance to cross the Cape Flats and join a new troop in the Hottentots Holland mountains.

Allan Perrins of the SPCA, where the baboon is being kept, said last night that a primate researcher at UCT had written to CapeNature suggesting that the baboon be allowed to be released away from the Cape Peninsula.
