The judge said Quincy Martins lied and failed to show remorse - but Bernette Martins still wrapped her arms around her husband after he was found guilty of murdering her son.

The Eldorado Park couple, both charged with the murder of 3-year-old Micah Bramely Patterson, have stood together in the dock since October.

But yesterday they were separated after sentencing - he walked down to the cells to start his 15-year sentence and she walked out of the court a free woman, having been found not guilty.
