Jul. 30--Patrick Brogan starts each day by combing the FM radio dial for the latest tunes. He pores over music industry magazines, searching for trends and emerging artists. In one year, he receives 1,700 compact discs from musicians around the world, all hoping to be one of about 300 acts to to play at a 10-day festival in Bethlehem.
