Jul. 30--SAN FRANCISCO Dontrelle Willis did not make his last start as a Marlin on Saturday. Whether Armando Benitez concluded his return engagement remains to be seen.

With Tuesday's 4 p.m. non-waiver trade deadline approaching, the Marlins continue telling teams that Willis isn't available.

However, Benitez is in play. The Marlins are willing to trade the veteran closer, who currently is setting up for Kevin Gregg. They just haven't found any dance partners.

Benitez is healthy and throwing in the upper 90s, but he still has a 6.04 ERA, ...
