Jul. 25--Forest Park Community Hospital has struggled to keep its beds full for 20 years, but keeping an urban hospital profitable is tougher these days. Insurance companies and the government have lowered payments for many services. The percentage of patients with no coverage has grown. Now, whether a hospital makes money depends heavily on its patients' insurance and whether the services they need are profitable ones.
