German service provider EWE TEL has selected Infinera as the optical backbone for EWE TEL's network.

Located in Oldenburg, EWE TEL is a regional telecom operator and provides services including high-speed Internet access, voice services, wireless, and enterprise data to more than 300,000 customers in northern Germany. The company was founded in 1996 as a subsidiary of EWE Aktiengesellschaft, which ranks among Germany's major energy companies.
