A sensor at the Woodland Reservoir failed over the weekend, causing the 113-year-old reservoir to rise higher than the city feels comfortable with, according to Water Commissioner Mike Ryan.
A resident saw water emerging from a manhole on a street near the reservoir early Sunday and called a city emergency number to report what the resident thought was a water leak, Ryan said.
