Michele Bachmann incorrectly reported that Bachmann's step-sister, Helen LaFave, testified against an amendment to ban same-sex marriage that was favored by Bachmann when she was a state legislator in 2006. LaFave said that although she attended a hearing on the amendment, she did not testify, but spoke with reporters about her opposition to the measure afterward.
