NEW YORK, July 25 Asia Pulse - The United States and Canada mourned the death of former Afghan king and Father of the Nation Muhammad Zahir Shah.
He passed away Monday morning after a protracted illness. The death was announced by President Hamid Karzai during a hurriedly-called press conference at the Presidential Palace.
A large number of Afghan expatriates in the United States and Canada termed his death as a great loss for a nation, which is trying to overcome its three-decades of civil war.
