Council Approves Commercial Center: A commercial center proposed by La Jolla-based C.W. Clark Inc. in San Marcos has been approved by the City Council. Civil Center Marketplace near the City Hall will be developed in two phases on 19 vacant acres.

According to Steve Warfield, C.W. Clark's director of acquisition and development, 7 acres will be developed first. This portion of the project is valued at $31 million.
