What led to this article was the publication of a document of the Federal Agency for Education on the introduction of an additional educational training program on the said theme for the professorial and teaching personnel engaged in the humanities. Based on the document, the RF Defense Minister ordered all MOD colleges to draw up, as of the 2006-2007 academic year, teaching and methodological materials for the discipline History and Philosophy of Military Science.
