The Bill has been considered in detail at Stage 1 by the Education Committee of the Scottish Parliament. The Committee appointed Professor Kenneth McK Norrie, University of Strathclyde, as its adviser and called for written evidence on the general principles of the Bill. Oral evidence was taken over five days in May and June. BAAF Scotland made a written submission and gave oral evidence on 10 May. The Committee's Stage 1 Report was issued on 29 June.
