Gilmar twist: Jacob exits, Sui inks deal. (Gilmar Group signs licensing deal with Anna Sui, while Marc Jacobs withdraws)

The Gilmar Group has signed a licensing agreement with American fashion designer Anna Sui for a line called Sui by Anna Sui which will be shown in Milan on Mar 5, 1995. Designer Marc Jacobs has not renewed with Gilmar for the fall 1995 Iceberg line, for which he consulted for two seasons. Jacobs says that he cannot devote enough time to the project, and Gilmar was not willing to help him produce his own line.

NEW YORK -- Marc Jacobs has quietly withdrawn from consulting on The Gilmar Group's Iceberg line, while Gilmar has strengthened its ties with another American designer, Anna Sui.
