VERNON, CT Spiro Gregory Lano, 84, of Vernon, CT, husband of Shpresa "Hope" (Verdi) Lano, died Friday, July 6, at Rockville General Hospital.

He was born in Portland, ME, on September 19, 1922, son of the late Gregory and Eleanora (Tsotso) Lano and was a longtime Vernon resident. He attended Portland schools and attended Bates College, Lewiston, ME.
