Jun. 30--A Humptulips man pleaded guilty last year to first-degree theft because he obtained disability payments from the state Department of Labor and Industries while he was earning an income from growing marijuana from his home.
But Frank Hejna, 48, is fighting a legal battle in Thurston County Superior Court to keep from having to pay L&I $55,450 in restitution for the theft, as ordered by a judge there.
