Jun. 27--In Jennifer Duran's classroom, students in the Pecos Summer Literacy Program were scattered in different groups. Some of them had their laptops and they were hard at work writing about the history of Pecos. Others were getting the invitations for their upcoming presentation.

Compiling a book of Pecos history isn't the only thing students in the program are doing.

They're getting into shape too.
