Abdon seizes 2-shot lead in Asean golfest.(Sports News)

CARMONA, Cavite -- John Kier Abdon sizzled with an eagle-aided 6-under-par 66 yesterday to seize a two-stroke lead at the start of the 6th ASEAN Schools Golf Championships at the Manila Southwoods Golf.

Abdon braved an early morning drizzle before scorching the backnine which he highlighted with an eagle on the par-5 14th where he hit the green on his second shot from 230 yards, his ball stopping 10 feet from the cup.

Abdon's round somehow made up for the lethargic start of other Filipino bets.
