Red meat gets a bad press. Its critics (usually vegetarians) say it has been linked to cancer, and with cancer striking one in three of us, such a claim is enough to frighten us off red meat altogether. So, it came as a welcome surprise when I read about a recent Australian study that disproves the theory that eating red meat increased the risk of cancer - in particular colorectal cancers in Western countries.
