Jun. 16--Being part of a Texas League championship-winning team as a player doesn't compare to coaching a college baseball team to a national title.

A former Beaumont Golden Gators minor league baseball player, Casey managed the Oregon State University baseball team to a College World Series title last season.

"Those are completely different scenarios," said Casey, a first baseman for the Gators for two seasons in 1983 and '84.
