Ferrying me downstairs from Greene Naftali Gallery recently, the elevator man asked whether I liked the Rachel Harrison show there, telling me he just didn't get it. He wasn't alone. I hated to confess a similar feeling of bewilderment--one that abated only slowly, though it later gave way to intoxication.
