Showing the versatility of both Griffith and Gish, this second volume of Biograph shorts issued by Kino International spotlights an early experimentation with film genres. The first two entries, The Musketeers of Pig Alley (the more famous of the two) and The Burglar's Dilemma, both filmed and released in 1912, reveal Griffith's exploration of the gangster film; most film historians consider Musketeers the forerunner or prototype for the entire gangster genre.
