WEST BROOKFIELD - Ye Old Tavern, built sometime around 1760 and a centerpiece of the picturesque Town Common, is about to be purchased by a local couple.
The tavern, on Route 9 near Town Hall, has been operated by the Dorman family of West Brookfield since 1980. Brothers Kevin G. and Melvin F. Dorman, along with their mother, Annette M. Dorman, and their late father, Melvin Dorman, ran the business.
