Gael Garcia Bernal is finalizing an agreement to topline "Pedro Paramo," a bigscreen adaptation of Juan Rulfo's novel of the same name, a milestone in modem Latin American literature.

"Paramo" already packs a powerful punch for the Spanish-speak ing world. Helmer is Alejandro Amenabar and co-scribe Mateo Gil wrote the Paz Vega thriller "Nobody Knows Anybody."
