Joey Barton will eclipse the efforts of Scott Parker in a Newcastle United squad.

That was the verdict today of Barton's fellow Scouser Micky Quinn, who knows exactly what it takes for a Liverpudlian to succeed on Tyneside.

Quinn has never made a secret of his rapport with the Toon Army during his time at St James' Park, and hopes Barton can strike up a similar type of relationship.
