Jun. 4--ROODHOUSE -- Perhaps it's best that few relatives of those interred in the Fernwood Mausoleum are alive to see what became of the once-gleaming marble crypts and stained-glass windows of the 1914 edifice.

The mausoleum in Roodhouse's Fernwood Cemetery has suffered from vandalism and a lack of maintenance for several decades, said Jerry Killion, a member of the mausoleum's Greene County Mausoleum Board.
