May 31--FORT WALTON BEACH -- The 52nd annual Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival kicks off today with a block party downtown from 3 to 7 p.m.

However, Bowlegs' junior and senior treasures are still up for grabs.

The festival's pirate skirmish and fireworks are set for Friday at Fort Walton Landing, with Bowlegs' invasion scheduled for Saturday. The annual Torchlight Parade will be Monday.
