May 24--ON THIS SECTION OF W. BROAD STREET, Quakertown, PennDOT is considering lowering the speed limit to 30 mph. Other areas could be slowed to 25mph.

The state has agreed -- sort of -- to Quakertown Borough Council's push to reduce the speed limit on Broad Street because of safety concerns.

State Department of Transportation officials say they will approve a speed limit reduction on parts of the heavily traveled road, more commonly known as Route 313 to out-of-towners.
