May 24--Trees live for a long time and Placedo Elementary School students want their memory of teacher Dorothy Trowbridge to continue to grow with the oak trees they planted in her memory Wednesday afternoon. Trowbridge, who taught sixth grade English language arts at Placedo since 1999, died of cancer in December.
The two oak trees and a bench were donated in her memory at the suggestion of students and staff members.
