May 23--The Village of Hamburg's Anna Mae Bacon Bird Sanctuary is open for business.
After sitting in neglect for a several years, new trails have been cut at the sanctuary, and they're open to the public.
"A lot of towns have nature areas, but this is unique in that it's so close to the center of town, it's so accessible by foot and by bike," Hamburg Trustee Michael Cerrone said.
