Almost 600 advisers have registered to take the Certificate in Regulated Equity Release in the past month.

Advisers have flocked to take the CeRER qualification on the heels of recent requirements by the FSA. Since 6 April, the sale and marketing of home reversion plans fell under its jurisdiction, while lifetime mortgages have been regulated for longer.
