ABSTRACT To obtain basic ecological information on declining Tokyo Bay stocks of the Manila clam Ruditapes philippinarum, life history (including spawning, larval transport and settlement, and growth and survival of benthic clams) was investigated in local habitats, mainly in Sanbanse and Kisarazu.
