Examiner reporter Adrian Sudbury knows this week can make all the difference between whether he lives or dies.
And that's a tough one when you are just 25 years old and were fit and healthy only a few months ago.
Adrian, who has been battling with leukaemia since being diagnosed six months ago, has had to undergo two days of intense chemotherapy and six doses of radiotherapy in preparation for a bone marrow transplant that could save his life.
