Foreign-based companies have invested $26 billion in the State of Florida to-date, most of that in South Florida. That investment accounts for more than 230,000 jobs. Those are just United States Department of Commerce figures--which do not take into account massive real estate investments and often don't get the full picture of mergers and acquisitions.
