ITC undertakes study of Cuban imports of U.S. agricultural products.

At the request of the Senate Finance Committee, the U.S. International Trade Commission has begun an investigation into Cuba's purchases of U.S. agricultural products and the likely effects that reform of current travel and export restrictions would have on future trade with the island nation. Even with U.S. government-imposed restrictions, U.S. exports to Cuba of agricultural, fish, and forest products amounted to $337 million in 2006, according to ITC.
