May 15--RANDOLPH COUNTY -- The General Assembly has awarded nearly $1 million in park funds to two cities in RandolphCounty. Archdaleand Asheboro were awarded grant money for both of its parks and recreation departments through the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund. Archdalewas awarded $464,469 and Asheboro $500,000. The money will be given on a reimbursement basis.
