PETRONAS TO SELL LNG TO JAPAN'S SHIKOKU ELECTRIC.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 14 Asia Pulse - Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) Friday signed an agreement to sell 420,000 tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) a year to Japan's Shikoku Electric Power Co Inc (TSE:9507).

Shikoku Electric signed an agreement with Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd (MLNG), a subsidiary of the state-owned oil firm, in Kuala Lumpur on May 11.

MLNG will start supplying the LNG on 1 April 2010.

Shikoku Electric has an option to extend the contract for another five years.
