Japan's Shikoku Electric to buy LNG from Malaysia's Petronas.

May 11--KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia LNG Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of state-owned oil company Petronas Bhd., signed a deal Friday to supply up to 420,000 metric tons a year of liquefied natural gas to Japan's Shikoku Electric Power Co. for 15 years beginning April 1, 2010.
Petronas said in a statement the sale and purchase agreement was signed in Kuala Lumpur by MLNG Chairman Hassan Marican and Momoki Tokiwa, president of Shikoku Electric.
The deal carries an option to extend it for another five years.
