WORCESTER Edith L. (Hewitt) Underwood, 89, of 1183 Main St. died Monday, May 7, in the Washburn House. Her husband of 39 years, John L. Underwood died in 1981. She leaves 3 daughters, Lois A. Cherry of Hubbardston, Joyce M. Spetz of Bakersville, CA, Susan G. Lacey of Rutland; 3 grandsons, David Lacey of Holden, Robert Lacey of New Rochelle, N.Y., Matthew Spetz of Santa Cruz, California; 1 granddaughter, Joanne E. Spetz-Saidin of San Mateo, CA; 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lily B. Hewitt of Taunton and Ruth Phillips of Greenville, R.I.

She was born in Erie, PA, daughter ...
