LOUISVILLE -- The chant began before the eighth round flickered onto the screen, an echo from a day long past, the sounds of a moment that help define a man.

"Ali bomaye! Ali bomaye!"

Muhammad Ali, shaking slightly as the chant -- which means "Ali! Kill him!" -- washed over him, looked up from his seat and smiled.

No doubt, the Champ was here, sitting in the center named after him, reliving the fight that began his transcendence from outspoken American boxer into world humanitarian.
