May 3--Armor Holdings Inc. Wednesday said some employees were fired and others resigned following an investigation into possible improper payments connected to a United Nations contract.

Jacksonville-based Armor, which disclosed the investigation in its quarterly report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, did not say where the employees worked. But the investigation involved a contract by a United Kingdom subsidiary, Armor Products International Ltd., to supply body armor to UN personnel and peacekeeping forces.
