May 1--Mayo Clinic researchers say they have more evidence that nanoparticles could play a role in hardening of the arteries in humans.
The concept is controversial. Many scientists believe the particles do not exist or, if they do, that they are too small to cause human disease. But Mayo researchers are investigating the role of nanoparticles.
